The SA Science Excellence Awards recognise and reward South Australia's top scientists, researchers and educators who have made a significant contribution in their field of research and continue to inspire future generations to become involved in science, technology, engineering and maths.

Chief Scientist for South Australia Dr Leanna Read said “this year we had the highest number of applications in the history of the South Australian Science Excellence Awards with 71 nominations. The competition this year is very strong, but the calibre of finalists demonstrates the rich pool of talent we have here in South Australia.”

I’m really looking forward to the gala dinner where the vital work of so many great South Australian science, technology, engineering and mathematics professionals and teachers will be celebrated”.

Winners will be announced and celebrated at the gala dinner held on Friday 11th August 2017 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
