De Stefano & Co is a defence-focused management and security consultancy that assists businesses from across Australia and the globe in navigating the complex Australian defence industry environment.
Our Director & Principal, Emilio De Stefano, founded De Stefano & Co in 2015. After spending the first 10 years of his career working in electronic warfare for the likes of BAE Systems prior to joining a heavy engineering SME working in support of the Collins Class Submarines, Emilio was given the opportunity to undertake some study in the US. It was there he realised that he wanted to do something more for the broader industry base, so he came back, handed in his resignation, and De Stefano & Co was born...
Soon after it was established, companies started coming to De Stefano & Co asking for help to break into the sector and win work. For many, the defence sector is a complex and highly bureaucratic beast, with those brave enough to enter its lair quickly learning that nothing happens overnight, and there are many hurdles to jump over along the way. Given Emilio's background and experience in the sector, he was well-placed to support those companies on their journey.

De Stefano & Co was founded in 2015 by our Director & Principal, Emilio De Stefano, who was passionate about supporting businesses to navigate the complex defence industry.

Our team have over 300 years of combined Defence and security experience working in Defence Primes, the Big 4, Managing Contractors and SMEs.
Where we operate
De Stefano & Co's headquarters are located in the heart of Port Adelaide, just 7km downstream from the Osborne Naval Shipyard, and we also have a Melbourne office located in the CBD. We service clients in every state and territory of Australia, as well as the USA, the UK and across Europe.
